KwotTalk

Privacy policy

Last updated: November 2, 2026

In short: the KwotTalk app has no account, no servers and no analytics. What you enter stays on your phone, and your backup goes to your own cloud, where D4U cannot read it.

Who we are

KwotTalk is made by D4U Software and Cloud Services LLC (“D4U”).

KwotTalk is an app for iPhone and Android. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it.

The app

Everything in this part is about the KwotTalk app for iPhone and Android. The app does not measure or track anything.

What D4U collects

Nothing. D4U does not collect, receive or store personal data through KwotTalk. There is no KwotTalk account to create and no KwotTalk server that your data is sent to.

What stays on your phone

Everything you put into KwotTalk is stored in the app’s private storage on your phone:

  • Audio while you dictate, and the transcripts.
  • Your businesses, with their logos and contact details.
  • Your clients and their contact details.
  • Items, prices, quotes, statuses, follow-up dates and closing values.
  • The PDFs and promotional images you create.
  • A history of your backups, kept only on this phone.

The microphone and your voice

KwotTalk uses the microphone to dictate quotes, and in Settings › Test so you can check that it works. Your voice is recognized on your phone. Audio is not sent to D4U or to any server, and it is not backed up: it is temporary and is deleted after the transcript is confirmed. The test recording is deleted when you leave that screen.

KwotTalk asks for permission to use the microphone, and on iPhone for speech recognition. To recognize your words without internet, the English or Spanish voice must be installed on your phone; Settings › Test checks it and helps you download it.

No tracking and no ads

  • No analytics, telemetry or usage events.
  • No advertising identifier and no fingerprinting.
  • No ads and no advertising SDKs.
  • No location.
  • No selling or sharing of data, because D4U has none.

The “powered by D4U” signature in the app and “Generated by KwotTalk, powered by D4U” at the foot of each PDF name the maker of the app. They are not ads and use none of your data.

Contacts and photos

KwotTalk does not read your address book or your photo library. When you pick a contact or a photo, your phone’s picker gives KwotTalk only what you picked. When you save a client to your contacts, your phone opens its own screen and you confirm.

Backup

If you turn on backup, KwotTalk saves a copy of your data in your own cloud, daily, weekly or monthly as you choose, or when you tap Back up now:

  • On iPhone, in the private database of your own iCloud account.
  • On Android, in a private app folder in your own Google Drive. Android asks you to sign in with Google once, when you turn on backup.

KwotTalk cannot read either backup, and no copy is sent to D4U. The backup holds your businesses and logos, clients, quotes with a copy of each paid PDF, templates and settings. It also holds an installation ID, the phone model, the date and the size, so the app can tell whether a backup belongs to this phone and never replaces it by mistake. That ID stays on your phone and in your cloud; it is not an advertising ID. A backup is a copy, not a sync: your cloud keeps only the latest backup, from one phone. Apple and Google store it under their own privacy policies.

Moving to another phone

“Move to another phone” creates a .kwot file with your data, encrypted on your phone with AES-256-GCM using a password you choose. The password is not saved anywhere, so without it the file cannot be opened. You decide where to save or send the file.

Purchases

Each final PDF is bought through the App Store or Google Play, under Apple’s and Google’s own terms and privacy policies. D4U does not receive your payment details.

Internet use

KwotTalk works without an internet connection. It uses the internet only for purchases and, on Android, for your backup to Google Drive.

Sharing is up to you

KwotTalk never sends anything on its own. When you share a PDF or an image, or contact a client, your phone opens the app you choose and you review and send.

The QR contact card

The QR code on your promotional images opens a contact card on a web page. Your business details travel inside the link, after the “#” sign, a part that browsers do not send to the server. The page sets no cookies, has no analytics, loads nothing from other sites and saves nothing.

Children

KwotTalk is a tool for businesses and is not directed at children. Since D4U collects no personal data, it holds none about children either.

Your choices

Because D4U holds none of your data, there is nothing for D4U to show, correct or delete. You control everything in the app: edit or delete clients and quotes, turn backup on or off, delete the backup from your iCloud or Google Drive, or delete the app.

This website

To know how many people visit, this site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without identifying you. The site has no other analytics, no ads and no tracking cookies. If you pick light or dark mode, your browser remembers that choice on your device; it is never sent anywhere.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
